This has been the year that wont stop giving. The holier than thou keep popping up, the latest Richard Mellon scaife hier to the Mellon banking clan, who in the 19 th century, ranked with the JP Morgans, Rockafellers and Vanderbilts. They later deversified into coal, oil, steel and real estate. This is the man who went after bill clinton, over the lewinsky scandal.
Putting up 1.8 million to get the goods on clinton. The 75 year old Mellon scaife was caught by his wife, in a49.00 a night motel room with a 43 year old prostitute. Nice when the high and mighty step in it.

Two days ago on all the the TV news channels, it was reported that 2007 was the worst year for casualties in this Iraq oil war. Our local paper had this story on page 21, two pages after the centerfold, which was the funnies. The best this country has to offer is being sacrificed, and it’s like no one is paying attention. This news should have been in large type on page one with a a picture of this wars arch planners bush and Cheney below it. Could somebody tell me why Americans are not enraged at stories like this?

With William Kristol being hired by the New York Times, its the end of an era. A once great paper has been blackmailed by this administration. Besides McClatchy, knight ridder, does anyone know of a paper that has the guts for the truth?

H.L. MENCKEN OF THE BALTIMORE SUN, WROTE THE FOLLOWING ON JULY 26 1920.
All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically the most devious and mediocre, the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.
The presidency tends year by year to go to such a man. As democracy is perfected the office represents more and more closely the inner soul of the people, we move a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. Profound 1920.
